We set it up and keep it running
We install it, tune it to your church, bring your photos to life, point your domain, and stay on call. You do ministry. It's still entirely yours.
Before any work begins you get the hour estimate in writing, and only the hours used are billed. Hosting is passed through at what it actually costs us plus thirty percent for care — the exact figure is quoted for your church, on paper, before you say yes.
Nothing is "premium-only."

We won't pretend those are the same thing. If you download FaithKit, we physically cannot see your directory or your prayer list. If we host it for you, we can — the way any host could — so here is exactly what we do about that.

Is the free version really the whole product?
Yes. There is one FaithKit. The free download and the managed install are the same code, the same admin, the same radio station. Nothing is held back to sell later, and every improvement ships to the free version first.
Is there a monthly plan?
No. FaithKit does not sell subscriptions. If you host it yourself, you pay your own web host as you would for any site. If MattCreates hosts it for you, your domain and hosting are passed through at what they cost us plus thirty percent for care, and any work you ask for is billed at a flat $300 an hour. There is no FaithKit line item that renews on its own.
What does it cost to have MattCreates set it up?
A flat $300 an hour for everything — install, your photos, domain, tuning — with the hour estimate written down before any work begins, and only the hours used are billed. There are no packages or bundles, because every church's photos, pages, and domain situation are different and a package would either overcharge you or shortchange you.
Why would we pay you if it's free?
For the same reason a church with a free set of plans still hires a builder. Some churches have a member who's comfortable with web hosting, and they should download it and go. Others would rather hand it off and get back to ministry. Both are good reasons. Both end with the same website that the church owns.
Can we leave managed hosting later and take the site with us?
Yes, any time, for nothing. FaithKit is plain files and folders. Your site, your data, and your audio are handed to you as-is and run anywhere PHP runs. There is no export fee and no lock-in, and we'll point you at the install guide.
Is there a per-member or per-user charge?
No. Members, families, prayer requests, sermons, and pages are unlimited on both paths. The cost of FaithKit does not change as your church grows — that is rather the point.
What does "AGPL v3" mean for us?
It's the open-source license the free download carries. In plain terms: you may use it, change it, and share it freely, forever. If you modify it and offer it to others as a service, you share your changes too. For a church running its own website, it simply means it is yours and no one can take it back.
